Explore Thassos
Skala Kallirachi is a coastal village in the west part of Thassos. This village was developed very rapidly along the main road that runs through the island. Today, there is no special hotel infrastructure but there are many rooms to let, cafes and seafood tavernas.
It has a large port and anchorage for fishing boats, smaller boats, and sailboats. Equipped with water and electricity, it hosts many of them giving the port a special charm. Various cultural events are organized here during summer, with the highlight being that of the “Sardine Feast”, the last week of July. Crowds flock to the village to savor grilled sardines on the grill and plenty of wine. Traditional dances and folk music promise a wild party.
